Therapy Dog

What is a Therapy Dog?

Therapy dogs provide therapeutic and psychological benefits by allowing others to pet, cuddle or hold them. They are dogs that are friendly, and have easy-going personalities. Unlike service dogs, they are encouraged to interact with a variety of people while they are on duty including petting and provide this service to a variety of people beyond just their owners.

Loulu has been trained to be an assistive and visiting therapy dog.

As an Assistive therapy dog means that for certain individuals Loulu will join our appointments in my office.
As a Visiting therapy dog, Loulu and I will go out into the community into schools, hospitals, nursing homes etc. to provide educational, therapeutic and emotional support to individuals and groups in the community.
